Long-distance move from Michigan to Florida

Nightmare..worst ever.

Would not even give one star..they are worst nightmare you can think of you rather move by higher a good person with good driving records..rent truck..pay him to drive for you from place a to b..pay him return fair and do all but not this usa moving group..they ..ruined and damaged and lost most of my belongings and 3 weeks late..and still paid higher then I paid for private move..so I am coping from others review below because that is exactly true and nothing but true..read it..I just could not write batter..I agree 200%

Based on my experience with this company, I have created the following ad that fully describes what they do:

Hey there, looking to move cross-country? Well then here is what we can do for you. First we will have a nice person call you and be very knowledgeable, and seem very forthcoming about the process. He will tell you about the move and how smooth it will be. Also, he will not pressure you and even accommodate you by giving his direct number. After you call back to book, he will tell you that the price of the move is by weight, and that you will have your property within 5-10 days, and that this company has experience with moves such as yours. You will be told that 1-2 weeks before the move, you will receive a call to add or delete any inventory. He will tell you that the truck driver, in a semi truck will give you the weight of the truck before pick up, and once they weight the truck with your items, you will be given the weigh bill and the updated estimate of the move. The move will be reasonable and no fuss to you at all. Just pay the deposit, which is 1/3 of the total cost.

Then, once we have the deposit, we will ignore you and hand you over to a budget mover called Low Price Movers (cute, right?). ** Review separate of this place.

Then your stuff will be hauled away and you will not hear anything from us. You will be confused, and feeling a bit ripped off. You will call us and we will not answer. You will email and call the original sales person that you set up the appointment with, and you will be ignored.

Someone will call you and promise that everything will take care of, and that this should not have happened. This person will promise to call you back. This will be a lie, but we have your stuff, so shut up and take it.

You will eventually get frustrated. You will eventually file a BBB complaint. This will pis* us off.

You will try calling USA Moving again, and get the same person, on the phone. She seems like she wants to help and says that she will get you're the weigh bill and that she is trying to help you, but she is either too busy or incompetent to really do anything.

Finally two weeks after your belongings were tossed into a truck, a truck driver will call you. He will let you know that your belongings are on a truck in Chicago (no where in between your Los Angeles to Oklahoma City move) and that he should be able to get them to you the following Saturday or Sunday.

You will receive a BBB response that in so many words says "You signed up with us, deal with it and you will get your
whenever we feel like it. Shut up and go away."

You will try again to talk to someone, and she will feed you more about how she is working on it.

It's Friday, and you still will not have your stuff.

Finally on Saturday, 17 days later, your truck of stuff shows up. A representative of USA Moving will act like he is trying to help you, and offer you compensation of less than 1% of your move. He also will promise to provide you with the weigh bill, so you can find out what your move really cost. He says that he will send it to you on Monday. He won't.

Also, we at USA Moving can guarantee that your items will be thrown onto at least 5 different trucks, with no mind to the fragile contents.. which if labeled so, we will kick down a flight of stairs and have an elephant waiting to do burpees on the remains of the boxes. We also promise that at least 2/3 of your items will be marred, disfigured, broken, destroyed, mangled and pulverized. We don't event know what customer service means, we grantee this at USA Moving and our affiliate Low Price Movers.

And for OUR convenience, we will send you to a website to handle the "refund" (hahaha) for the broken items.

So, sign up today for a moving experience that you will NEVER FORGET!! Our operators are standing by..

Long-distance move from California to North Carolina

Horrible!

Take my word and stay far far away from this company. There customer service is horrible, they jack up prices after assuring you there will be no surprises, they show up late with items missing. My husband got a last minute job offer in North Carolina leaving me in San Diego to handle to packing and moving by myself. I called several companies for quotes and Dennis with USA moving group really sold me on his. I gave him exact dimensions over every single item we were taking. Every single box and every other item we were taking. I explained to Dennis that I could have no surprises whatsoever with pricing when they came to do the pickup. He assured me since I was doing it the right way with giving him an itemized list there would be no surprises. I told him that I was doing it by myself my husband was already in NC and our items had to be out that specific weekend. He quoted me $2189.16 I thought it was a fair price and set everything up with him. Now come Saturday Dec 6th the movers come. They were from LP Movers (who have an F with the BBB). They looked at everything that we were taking and said it was going to cost more. The total price ended up being $3275. That's $1085.84 more then what Dennis originally quoted me after I get him an itemized list of everything and told him I could have no surprises. What amazes me even more, when the moving guys came I had taken large items out of the shipment, queen size bed, safe, freezer, and bicycles. And it still ended up being over $1000 more. Like I said I was in a huge time crunch and had to have all of my stuff out of the house that day leaving me with no choice but to use them. After having no choice but to use them I reluctantly agreed to the new amount. They asked me when was the earliest they could deliver my items and I told them Dec 18th. Thinking I would get a call from them around that time to schedule the delivery. The 18th came and went without a word so I started calling them and leaving messages. Finally, on Monday Dec 22 I got a hold of them and they let me know they would be doing the delivery on Friday the 26th or Saturday the 27th with a call the day before. Friday the 26th came and went without a word from them. Finally on Saturday the 27th the driver calls me to let me know he will be there on Tuesday the 30th. When I asked him why he wasn't there that day like I was told he would be, he said no one told him. So, Monday the 29th comes and he lets me know he will be there at 8am the next day. Tuesday the 30th comes and finally he shows up at 10am. They start unloading the truck and several boxes were damaged. One box clearly said "Fragile this end up" with arrows all over it and one of the sides was completely caved in. Another box that said "Pictures" with arrows pointing up had tire tread marks on it. One of the delivery guys spoke no English and even told me I needed to speak Spanish! The non English speaking guy must not have been able to read either because I had a box (Manufactures box) that clearly said it had a light fixture in it that got in his way and he just kicked it. I was appalled and offended. I am also now having to file a claim with them because I am missing several items. .

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Texas

Definitely worth it.

I had USA Moving Group transport some furniture to Texas for me. The price was very reasonable and everything went well. It took about a week or so to get my items. It would have been quicker if I drove it myself with a Uhaul, but I've been down that road before and would rather have someone else do the work for me. The price for these guys to do everything was almost the same. The estimate was spot on. I made sure to tell them about every single item that I was moving to ensure that the pricing was accurate. IMO they did a great job and the guys even helped me bring some furniture to the curb that I was trashing.

Long-distance move from Arizona to Texas

Worst experience ever.

NEVER use this company. My Mother in law is in AZ and was packed up today for a quote of 1600 dollars. 600 dollars has already been paid as a deposit. The movers headed by a man named Jonathan loaded up the stuff and then told my mother that it was an extra 1100 dollars. She did not agree and called me in Houston because the man Jonathan was intimidating her. I tried to speak to Jonathan and he told me that he was adding the 1100 due to volume. The agreed price was by weight not volume. I have the paperwork. When he refused to move the items I called USA movers office and spoke to a manager named Ben He informed me that he would call me back after he spoke to their dispatch. This was 2.5 hours ago. So some time passes and my mother calls me scared and crying because the movers were trying to force her to pay the money. I called Scottsdale PD and they responded. When the officers arrived and were going to run the credentials of the movers he unloaded the stuff and left it in the parking lot of my mothers apartment complex. The police were unable to do anything due to it being a civil matter. I tried contacting the parent company of the movers called A to B Trans Inc. I received no answer. And to top it off my last call to the movers the secretary told me that she just transferred my mothers call to the manager and that is why I can't speak to him. I just called my mother and she has not spoken to the manager Ben at all. Now My mother has all her stuff not moved and is out 600 dollars for the time being. I am contacting BBB and possibly an attorney for a resolution. Please steer clear of these guys.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Michigan

Long distance Move.

Salesman was very consistent in calling me and returning my phone calls until he got my deposit, then he disappeared. The "customer service" people who have followed up with me since have been unconcerned with my problems. The movers (who were nice) showed up 6 hours late, worked until 3 in the morning and left with approx. 5 hours of work left to do (according to them.) It is now 3 days later. We are closing on our house tomorrow and it is still full of 1/4 of our belongings and we are in temporary housing 4 hours away. This could really mess up the sale of our house. I do not trust this company.

Long-distance move from Massachusetts to South Carolina

Kathleen.

This company was so bad, I'm embarrassed that I even used them. I should have been more careful. The initial salesperson is pure genius. He is so good at his job they should triple his wages. He's smooth and sucks you right in with all the right answers and promises. After you commit and send in the first payment, it's all down hill after that. They were two days late for pick up and literally left me sitting waiting for them. They finally arrived in a rented Penske truck with two guys, and only one spoke broken English. They wrapped my stuff up really nice, which I was impressed with, but I was still such a fool to trust them with my goods. They were supposed to meet me in SC three days later, from Mass. I called and called and they finally called me on the sixth day and gave to a wide time frame when they would arrive. It was really unprofessional and shady. I was actually shocked when they did actually arrive. I counted my blessings and watched as they unloaded everything into storage. Once I got my stuff to my new home, I started noticing things were missing. Then I noticed a lot of things missing. I started calling the contact person and the company and nobody ever called me back. Of course not! I finally gave up. DO NOT go with this company. I'm so angry because as weeks go by, I realize more and more of my favorite items are gone. It's takes you a while to notice because they don't steal everything, just certain things, and by the time you notice, it's too late. THIEVES!

Long-distance move from Florida to Texas

Horrid company!!

Warning! This company is horrid. They don't deserve the one star I'm giving them. This company should not be in business. From the beginning, the process started out swimmingly. Jason , the sales rep, is a master at his job. I bought his bit hook, line, and sinker. He was professional, and courtesy. They gave us a great rate with our move. Then the fun began. They arrived a few hours late to pick up everything and litterally spent hours trying to figure out what was to be put on the truck first. I drove to Texas and the delivery was promised to be there within seven days from pickup, despite the contact stating they have 60 days to deliver ghee items. I arrived in Texas on June 30 and did not received my items until the third week in September. Not to mention by furniture was delivered, mangled, torn, busted, dented, chipped, scratched, and mitigated. And of course, when going through the claims process, they informed me that it could take up to 120 days before the claim could be settled. Needless to say I'm dealing with the, still and have not been paid for the damage nor compensated for being late. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I recommend paying a little more for a more professional company, one who will deliver your belongings in one piece. They're liars and thieves. I regret the day I ever signed the contract with them. Oh, and by the way, they recently (Ocotber 27, 2014) received and F rating from the Better Business Bureau. That should give you a good indication on the quality of this company. .

Long-distance move from Missouri to California

It's a marketing scam.

They sell a service they don't deliver on. The entire process was broken from the beginning. The first issue started prior to pick-up when I was told I would receive a call from the mover/contractor 24 hours in advance. I started calling customer service the day of the move, because no one had called me. It took 4 phone calls and 4 hours to get an answer. I finally received a call from a driver/contractor that had just been given my move. He said he would be there in 1 hour, he showed up and didn't know he was packing breakables and pictures. He didn't have the materials, so I went to buy them to speed up the process.  The salesman (Dennis) is good at selling a bunch of promises they can't deliver on. The contractor they hired for the move was nice (Tracy) but he contracts for a bad company. Save yourself stress and frustration and hire someone else. .

Long-distance move from Ohio to Arizona

Bare and switch.

This company is ridiculous. they will call you day after day to make their company sound amazing. After the take your deposit they are impossible to communicate with. I have sent 6 emails all of which have not been replied to. I even stayed on the phone with Sam in dispatch who confirmed he received my email and he set the expectation that he would respond within 24 hours. to no avail.. NO RESPONSE!

The Company provided a quote with an understanding that if my packages were over the estimated weight I would pay a dollar amount per pound. They're promised a storage facility at my destination until we found a place.

When the movers arrived they did inventory and recalculated a new estimate. This estimate was a take it or leave it quote, which is not what I agreed to. They offered that I take the new quote of risk taking it to the weigh station where the price may be higher.

The movers also revealed that they have up to 21 days to deliver my items to my new home. AGAIN nothing that was discussed previously.

I am now out over $700.00 because this company fails to take ownership of their false expectations.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Massachusetts

Avoid USA moving group at all costs.

Used USA Moving Group for a move from NC to MA. Everything sounded good on the phone during the quote stage. The move was supposed to take 3-5 days. They explained how the process should work and said the sales person would be our single point of contact. We paid for a specific weight of items.
USA M.G. subcontracted the pickup to some other company. While I was upstairs with the movers, the foreman found my wife downstairs and tried to get her to change the contract to a by-volume style for nearly twice the agreed price. They told her we had so much weight that the by-volume price would be cheaper. Luckily, I had weighed all of my items and knew the total weight was just under the contracted amount.
Then we were informed they didn't have an empty tare weight on the truck like they were supposed to.
They were to call us from the road in a couple of hours with the full weight, and then weigh the empty truck after dripoff (i.e. when I can't verify either one). Since they already had my stuff loaded up, I didn't have much of a choice.
Now it is 9 days after pickup and we still do not have our stuff. It was offloaded to a storage facility in NJ without informing me. It has been sitting there for days. USA Moving Group, the pickup movers, and the storage facility have all given me revised delivery times and promises for updates that never happened. Now none of them will return my calls. I am likely going to have to contact the Better Business Bureau, law enforcement, or a lawyer just to get my stuff back. And I still have not been given any info on what they claim the weight is.
